VP Components Launch New High-end Line for Freeride VP components has launched a major new project called VP One. VP One is a special unit at VP that is focussed entirely on developing a line of high-end products that surpass all our previous standards. Design, development and testing have been ongoing for two years. The new products are currently in production and will ship soon. The primary focus of VP One is a dedicated Freeride component series. The components; a pedal, a headset, and a bottom bracket are engineered to take the hard hits of jumping. All three products are CNC-machined.
The VP
One PF-1 platform pedal has an extruded body and is built on a very strong,
stable set of three bearings. The *HF-1 headset is equipped with an oversized press-fit lower bearing. Standard spec is with 12 mm deep cups with an optional 20 mm deep lower cup. The BF-1 bottom bracket has four sealed cartridge bearings constructed around a hollow Cr-Mo ISIS axle. It is compatible with standard or E-type derailleurs. VP One also make an all-purpose grease injector, and bicycle grease. The VP One products received an extremely enthusiastic reaction at the the Taipei International Cycle Show in early March. |
